The Truth About Pills

The graph below shows the level of active ingredients introduced to the body over a 24 hour period.

The red spikes represent a three time daily regimen of a pill supplement. The body cannot easily metabolize pills, as they are bound together tightly with synthetic ingredients to form the pill.  The purple line shows the application of a sustained dose enjoyed from a patch.

The theory is to supply a very large dose in the pill form, hoping that at least some of the active ingredients make it to the bloodstream, where they may be utilized for the body's benefit.

In fact, if you can provide a slow release sustained dosage (like the purple line) over a 24 hour period, the results will be much greater than what is experienced with large sporadic doses.

Studies show that the longer glucosamine is in the bloodstream, the more effective it will be.  For this reason, dosage suggestions for pills usually include a taking them 3X per day.  Many people have trouble with compliance to this regimen and do not realize the full benefit they may enjoy from taking Glucosamine supplements.  See more on our research page.

Directions for Use:  Apply one patch to a clean, dry, relatively hair-free part of the body (inner arm, hip, etc).  After 24 hours, remove and replace with a new patch in a slightly different location to allow skin to breathe.  Adhesive residue may be removed easily with warm, soapy water.

Warnings:  For external use only. Contains Latex.  In the unlikely event of any side effects, discontinue use and consult your physician.  Pregnant and lactating women any anyone taking medication should consult their physician.  Also contains proteins derived from shellfish.
